I’m Josh Kennedy, founder of JM Kinetics & Strength. I’m a passionate personal trainer, certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), dedicated to helping people transform their health and fitness through affordable training services.

My passion for fitness began early. Growing up, I swam competitively from ages 5 to 18. Through my teenage years, I challenged myself with at-home workout programs like P90-X and Insanity. Since college, I’ve fueled my love for movement through weight training and preparing for races, including 5Ks, 10Ks, and half marathons.

Now, I channel this lifelong passion into empowering my clients to reach their goals through functional fitness. My approach is highly structured, supportive, and personalized—designed to fit seamlessly into your life while delivering real results. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to elevate your fitness routine, I’m here to equip you with the tools and guidance you need to succeed.

I grew up in Houston, TX, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting. I’m also a licensed Certified Public Accountant and have worked in the accounting industry for over four years. Currently, I serve as a Program Manager for an accounting firm, a role that has honed my skills in organization, process improvement, and analytics.

I leverage these skills to deliver personal training services that are not only structured and efficient, but also optimized for each individual client. By combining my professional expertise with my passion for fitness, I ensure every client has a clear plan, measurable progress, and the accountability they need to succeed.

This means primarily performing multi-joint movements that replicate the day to day movement of our lives- whether thats playing with our pets and children, carrying groceries, or simply walking around our communities. My goal is to help my clients feel stronger and more energized in their daily routines while promoting longevity and sustainable health practices.
